Pastor Sam's spiritual journey
I came to know the Lord in February 1992. This happened in my cousin’s home in London. It wasn’t anything dramatic but a simple message of Christ’s love for sinners. After that message I did not need anymore convincing that l was a sinner and that the Lord was ready to set me free. The main thing which overwhelmed my heart was the love of Christ for me.
So l gave my life to the Lord and soon after l felt this amazing peace in my heart. It was as if someone had lifted a heavy load off my shoulders. As of that day onwards much of my time was devoted to seeking God and spending time in His Word. I had this strong drive within my heart to preach His Word. It was that drive which assured me that the Lord was calling me to preach His Word.
That hunger led me to look for a Bible College in 1993. I did a diploma course at Hampstead Bible College in London for three years. After that diploma l still felt that God wanted me to get more from His word. So l enrolled at Mattersey Bible College (AOG) (affiliated with Sheffield University) in September 1996 to do a Degree in Theology which l completed June 1999.
I have led a number of churches during and after my training years. The list includes: Forward in Faith Ministries (Hanwell, West London); Assemblies of God (Catford, SE London); Christian Celebration Centre (Coventry, UK) and now Kettering Christian Centre (AOG, Kettering, Nothamptonshire). My prayer and passion is to see sinners set free from bondages to sin and other forces of evil just like l was. It is also my heart's desire to help people find & realise God's great love & purpose for their lives and to be in a place where they belong & flourish.
My prayer is for God's grace & blessing to settle upon your life in a very special way.
